Isn't it would be great if you could view all your previous notifications? There exist an option in android to see all your past notifications generated. This option is available on all phones running android version 4.3 or higher.
To view your notifications history find
Settings Shortcut widget in the Widget Drawer.

Tap and Hold the widget for a few second to bring to your Home Screen. A pop up screen will appear. Select
Notifications from the available options.

This will create an app icon
Notifications with gear logo on your home screen, tap it once to view all your past notifications.
Your Notifications History resets automatically when you Power Off your phone. All the notifications appears here are since the time you last turned off your phone.
