Accidentally sent an email to an unknown person, or pressed send button before finished writing the message? And then the regretting what if I could have undone the wrongly sent message. Then I think this will surely give you some relief.
A lab feature in gmail called Undo Sent could undo email you have just sent. Turning "Undo Send" on delays the sending of actual email by a small period of time after you have clicked the Send button.
How to Turn Undo Sent On
2. Click on the gear icon located in the top-right side of your screen, below your photo, then choose Settings from the drop down menu.
3. From the options in Settings choose Labs tab.
4. Find here 'Undo Send'(use search bar underneath if it is not listed there), and enable it by selecting the Enable Radio Button, then click Save Changes from the underside.
Now whenever you sent a message you will see the option 'Undo' to cancel sending the message after the alert "Your message has been sent". Do select the "Undo" option within a few seconds otherwise it will send the message to the recipient , and you will not be able to undo it.
By default the undo option delay period is 10 seconds, and to change it:
1. Click the gear icon.
2. Select Settings option. In General tab here look for "Undo Send", then change Send cancellation period.
