Google is Testing Drones to Deliver Stuffs Faster

Google a few days ago revealed they have been working on developing a automated delivery system using drones to deliver stuffs quickly. It has posted a video on its YouTube channel showing that the drone is being tested to deliver goods.

Due to testing restrictions of drones in USA, flight tests are taking place in Queensland, Australia. As a part of test flight, they have successfully delivered first aid kit, candy bars, and water to the remote regions in Australia.

In the video posted drone delivers some dog foods to a specified location as part of the testing process. These self-flying vehicle's use global positioning system to track the location where items to be delivered.

Recently, Amazon also unveiled similar plans to deliver goods using unmanned aerial vehicle.Google's UAV looked bigger than Amazon's. Unlike Amazon's UAV which lands on the ground to put stuffs, Google's UAV use cable to put the goods in the ground rather than landing itself.

In another video, google hinted that users can track of items ordered by asking Google now- "When is my package arriving". You have to be signed in with the same Google account as your item ordering account for this to work.
