Enrolled yourself for aadhaar? and after a long time hasn't received aadhaar card. Now you can download aadhaar letter or aadhaar identity card on your computer or get it on your mobile.
Even if you got aadhaar, you can still generate e-aadhaar. This feature comes in handy when you are not at home and you need a copy of it. You can visit a cyber cafe, download and print a copy of it or get it on your mobile and use it.
Due to heavy workload it's taking time for the aadhaar authority to issue aadhaar and deliver it to the recipient.
Before proceeding check status of your aadhaar card here. If it is still not generated, you will not be able to download your aadhaar letter till it is generated.
Follow these steps to Download aadhaar on your PC
- Open http://www.uidai.gov.in on you browser.
- Click on Resident Portal(Bottom-right corner of your screen) or click here.
- Under the Have got Aadaar Section(Right side of your screen) click on Get E-Aadhaar or click here.
- Now enter your Personal Details here. You can find Enrollment No, and Enrollment time on the acknowledgement slip given to you after you enrolled yourself for aadhaar.
- After filling all the details(name, pin code, captcha, mobile no) there, click on Get One Time Password. This will send a Six digit Pin or One Time Password(OTP) to your mobile no registered while enrolling for aadhaar.
- Now enter the One Time Password(OTP) in the text box(Enter OTP) and click Validate & Download.
- This will download e-aadhaar(a pdf file) on your PC. Open the pdf, it will ask you to enter password.
- Enter the Zip code/Pin code you mentioned when enrolling for aadhaar.
- Now print it and keep a copy with yourself.
